There is obviously alot of effort and concentration on this drawing, and the picture is lovely. The colors are all very well done, the different shades of blue on Stitch gives him his color without the unappealing clash. The background looks very nicely shaded so that it gives it that beach-y look. I also like the glossy look the lips and skin have. I really enjoy how very spot on the art style is with the actual movie, which is a hard thing to master. Lastly, I just want to say, this was very wonderfully drawn and colored. Good Job, You!
VISION -------------- Excellent! The beach is a popular choice for Lilo & Stitch artwork, since the movie takes place there, I'll admit, It must have taken a lot of thought deciding what scenery to use for this picture. The beach setting may imply that these two are always still enjoying each others company after so many years of friendship. The look on Stitch's face is absolutely adorable and heartwarming, and brings a unique side out of his personality.
ORIGINALITY ------------------- Originality points are certainly above average, it takes a great deal of imagination to capture the hearts of your audience! Of course, based on the message I'm getting from this piece, there's plenty of scenes where Stitch and Lilo and showing their unmatched friendship to one another, but this one definitely stands out for reasons that will be mentioned soon.
TECHNIQUE -------------------- I love how the sunsets reflection is coming off of Stitch's head; it really makes a difference when you apply shading that bleeds into the context of your drawing. The ocean waves look great, and you can see the suns reflection on them as well. I'm always mesmerized by images that use lighting correctly. Great work!
IMPACT ------------- Now here is where this Deviation just soars..... I actually can't think of what to say....It's a mixture of adorable art styling with a huge splash of nostalgia! I'll be honest, I HAVE wondered what will come out of stitch and Lilo in the future, Lilo has always had that child personality, what will come of it will she mature and outgrow stitch? Now I honestly feel so much more relieved even though it's unofficial artwork..Which is a big deal!
Well, there's one episode named Skip where Lilo goes 7 yrs to the future and becomes a teen. Stitch doesn't change though, and Lilo mentions that maybe the reason why he still looks the same is because experiments age differently than humans.
If the water at the very edge of the beach was less blue, and faded into blue, it would look a little more believable. Basically, so that it had the effect of the water looking translucent, as water does. Other than that, I like it a lot
